A blocked nose is a wintertime problem. During the cold months, we often struggle with colds, sneezing, coughing and stuffy noses. It is therefore important to start the treatment of colds at the first sign.
Inflammation of the sinuses occurs as a result of a viral cold, which leads to inflammation and damage to the lining of the sinuses, where bacteria start to multiply. In addition to the ointment, we recommend that you drink plenty of fluids to avoid sinus infections. Hydration will make your mucous membranes moister and the mucus will drain from your sinuses faster. In addition to fluids, take more vitamin C, as this boosts the immune system and is useful in fighting sinus infections. We also recommend sleeping with your head elevated and applying warm compresses to your face.
Typical symptoms of sinusitis include pain above and below the eyes, discharge that may run back into the throat, halitosis, toothache, headache, sore throat, coughing and bad breath.
