Description
Lemon eucalyptus essential oil contains 85 percent citronellal, which is a substance that is extremely popular in cosmetic industry due to its fresh scent. Lemon eucalyptus oil effectively protects against several species of mosquitoes, including those that transmit malaria and yellow fever.
Green mint essential oil has been proven to be an effective larvicidal and protective agent to combat dengue. It also has a negative effect on the development of mosquitoes and therefore used effectively in natural sprays to control large populations outdoors.
Research has shown that Palmarosa can be effective against mosquitoes for even longer than many other essential oils.
Rosemary, as a natural pesticide, is primarily used as an insect repellent. It has strong anti-microbial properties and repels insect: clothes moths, fruit flies, lice, mosquitoes, and others.
Natural repellents are safe and can be used several times a day. Caution is advised to those suffering from essential oils hypersensitivity.
Not suitable for children under the age of three years.
Can be sprayed on clothes.
Repeat application every 2-4 hours.
Most mosquito and tick repellents contain an active ingredient called DEET. DEET works by masking body odor, thus preventing a mosquito or tick from detecting us. Studies have already shown that DEET, when applied directly on skin, can have a detrimental effect on our nervous system. It is especially harmful when used on children. A scientifically proven natural alternative to DEET is lemon eucalyptus, which has only recently started to appear in conventional repellents. Natural repellent spray contains only natural ingredients with added essential oils of organic lemon eucalyptus, organic green mint, organic citronella, organic palmarose and organic rosemary hydrolate.
